The Ol' Father Son Campout

I like breakfast. I love breakfast cooked over a camp stove. I like camping primarily because of eggs, bacon, and potato's cooked outdoor, over a flame.

The Father / Son camp-out went great except for the last hour. A handful of us were stuck out in the middle of a lake trying to fish when the rain set in. By the time we loaded up the boats and made it back to camp, we,were soaked and most everyone had packed up and were on the way home. All in all, the weekend went great and the overnight rain came at a time when we were sleeping anyway.

We did figure out that camping is just not for some people. There is one student in particular who voiced his displeasure in camping by making this statement. . . "My children will never know what it's like to go camping." Way to come on out and take one for the team, Jacob.
Thanks, for all who participated, and we will definitely do this again. I'll take all your suggestions on locations and menus.

Have a good one,
J. Ray

yeah, it was a new experience for my life. reminded me of being in the cub scouts in 4th grade, although i don't remember our camp outs being that bad. in fact, i don't think i've been that miserable in awhile.

That was a more misserable campout than I thought it was going to be. But just think... you will look back on it and will laugh.

It could have been worse. Thanks, Josh, for planning the trip.

JUST to let you know, Jacob has already decided to try out camping once again REAL soon. (with a little bit of twisting his arm) I think it's going to take a woman to show him how much FUN camping can be. MOTHER'S DAY 2008!
